happens to be my wife's favorite. It's the only
project she insists I have running before we
leave for vacation.

Pet Monitor Source Code - The Perl source code that does the job of detecting signals from the motion detector, grabbing a picture from the wireless camera, and adjusting the color levels in the image to make up for the poor quality of the cheap cameras. The code is sloppy and there aren't many comments--but it is a hack, after all. The book tells you how to install the script and its dependencies (it's easy), and also explains how each line of code works, so you can modify it to your heart's desire. .
